RAICO test coupler coupling thread

Standard models for nominal pressure of 640 bar, with hermetic sealing at the metallic coupling valve, protection cap in steel, made from hexagonal bar with partial knurl, O- Ring Viton®( Du Pont ), passivated CR3 all around, leaving no unprotected external surfaces. 
Versions in stainless steel, AISI 303 ( austenitic, DIN: X10CrNiS 18 9 / Material NR. 1.4305 ) are also available from stock. 
Other materials on request depending on quantity required.

Important design and manufacturing details:

  • Models with backup ring for the central sealing by O-Ring

  • Severe function testing of all couplers, piece by piece

  • Packaging in blister packs of 25 pieces to assure optimal protection of the couplers until final installation in the hydraulic system

The protection cap is joint to the coupler body through a pressure moulded tie of PA-Nylon 11® which is strong and practical, resistant to salts acids. 
If desired, the ties can be replaced by a small chain as for instance required by specification in the shipbuilding industry which forbids as well the use of thermoplastic materials for insulation of electric cables. The commonly used flat chains have a somewhat lower tear resistance than the ties of

PA – Nylon 11.
